AHHHH, Home Sweet Home!! After living out of a duffel bag since September 2007, we were thrilled to finally purchase a house that we could call our own. We were extremely thankful to have friends down here who opened their houses to us until we were able to find our perfect spot. We realized that real estate agents aren't really used down here and the majority of homes sold are for sale by owner and both parties just get their lawyers to draw up the paperwork, banks are involved for mortgages, and it is all a go. Very simple.
As you can see, Ernie is thrilled with his new back yard. He has never experienced a fenced area so nice. He is quickly making friends/enemies with the neighborhood cats, but is trying to socialize as much as he can.
We now have 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so there is no excuse for people not to come and visit us. It is a quick walk into town (5 minutes max) and has a fabulous view of the Mt. Hutt range.
