DAY OF FISHING
Well, we finally made a day out on the river. Ernie was psyched to explore more new territory and did very well with the NZ bush and water. We went to one of our favorite rivers about an hour or two away. Weather was a bit strange, not what was forecasted, and the water was much higher than we remembered. Jen had to remember how to walk in water again so struggled a bit, but enjoyed the scenery and casted really well. No luck though. Courtney hooked into a big one, but unfortunately lost it in the fight. Well worth the fight, though.
We hope that many of you get the chance to come down to experience the backcountry with us. It is like no other place in the world!
