Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Ernie

Hello all.  For some reason I can't get the typing to be normal, but thought I would write to you anyway.  I hope that everyone has had a great year in 2008 and are all looking forward to 2009.  As for me, 2008 was a great year.  I finally got out of that horrible place they called "quarantine" and got reunited with mom and dad.  We played a lot as I got used to my new surroundings.  In March Mom and Dad bought a new house and the yard is FANTASTIC!!  I have lots of room to roam around and play frisbee.  Come June Dad and I started work at our new mountain.  Mt. Hutt is a great place and is very dog friendly.  Although I spend most of they day in a kennel, I get a lot of practice time for searches too.  My two friends and I got fully certified as NZ Avalanche Dogs this season and are very proud of our accomplishments.  We are now quite official!  Dad and Mom have taken me on a lot of great trips in the car, up the rivers, hunting, etc. I even got my first duck this year.  It was fun.
I am very spoiled as I get to spend most days with Mom and/or Dad.  I still think everyone who comes to the door wants to play with me and I bring them my toys as a welcome gift.  Come June of 2009 I hear I might have my nose a bit out of joint as we welcome a new baby into the family.  I think I will be fine considering I still get to go to work with Dad and by the time I get home I will be too tired to worry about being jealous.  Seeing the Christmas presents that Wiedlet got I think he or she might have some cool new toys to offer me too.
Best wishes to everyone.  I miss you all and hope you come to visit soon.  I still love to have my junk scratched and will snuggle with anyone who wants me to.  Miss you tons.
Ernie
