Christmas/New Years continued

Christmas day was spent with the Gardners, then we traveled up to Summit County where we were able to enjoy fun times with Courtney's family.

At Nancy's (Oma's) house we had 19 people for Christmas dinner.  It was great to see cousin Mitch and family.  Bridget and Jay and family were able to travel out from CA as well.  It was so great to see them!

After Christmas we all traveled up to Steamboat to enjoy time with Jerry and his family.  Incredible steaks and crab are the traditional meal on New Year's Eve.  It tasted better than ever this year.
Charlie was able to enjoy his first backpack ride as we went snowshoeing.  He enjoyed it so much he fell asleep.  The weather over the holidays was very cold.  Not much snow unfortunately, but it was nice to have snow on the ground for Christmas.  It just isn't the same in NZ when we are having a BBQ out in our shorts and flip flops and it stays light until 9:30 pm.  There isn't much point to putting lights on our house as we are never up that late to be able to enjoy them.  Something we will have to get used to.

All in all, Charlie was spoiled terribly and enjoyed every bit of his holiday with friends and family.  Thanks to everyone who helped to make it possible.  We miss you tons!!
